The Craig Zone

Grant's 3rd birthday was a blast. We started out his birthday on Tuesday at the DiCocco's. We had Mac and Cheese, ate cake and then his cousins took Grant to Chuck E Cheese for his present. We got so many tickets that Grant was able to get a big Imaginext dinosaur from the big prizes on the wall.! He has been playing with it all week!





On Saturday at "The Craig's" when I woke him up on his big birthday, he couldn't believe it was actually here!! He kept saying, "It's my REAL birthday??!!??!!!" "Yes sweetie, your Real birthday!" He was so proud to go through all day holding up three fingers (instead of his usual two!)
His "Aunt" Terry got him a Lightning McQueen birthday cake,



his Aunt Kathy got him the Thomas aquadoodle (which is super cool)




His Aunt Kim got him Turbo tail Tigger (I superimposed the actual tigger into this photo, he was still in the "box" when Grant started jumping up and down in excitement. )


All the kids went out and took a whack at the race car pinata. It had to be the best and most organized pinata breaking ever. There were 5 kids and each of them got exactly 2 turns. Grant got 3 hits per turn (since he was the birthday boy, and the youngest one there by far) Then Brendan(6) and Victoria(9) got 2 hits a piece. Finally Roger(14) and Devan(12) got only one hit per turn. Of course, their hits were the most effective and finally the ones that broke the pinata clean. All of the candy fell out in one big swoop. It was a blast.

Grant went through the rest of the day on a sugar high, running and laughing and playing. It was hard to get him to stand still for a pic, so I just got him as he was running by!

In the end, Grant ended up getting so many presents, that I had to go home and pack up a bunch of his old toys to go to goodwill, and we're STILL bursting with toys and games. He is having so much fun with them though. Every morning and all through the day he asks me, "Mom, can I please play with all my surprises?" :) Of course the answer is yes.
