Rearranging the bedrooms
Because we are adjusting to there being less people in our house again, and because David and I have been itching to move Pierce into another bedroom, we decided to kick off the first week of summer by rearranging the kids' bedrooms. Kind of a fresh clean start. Because of who I am... I of course went a little overboard. We have small spaces, especially in the room where Charlie and Pierce are sleeping.... the best small space place that I know is Ikea!!! So naturally, both rooms got Ikea makeovers.
Grant's Room.
Grant really wanted to move down to a lower lever after having spent the past several years up on the top bunk. Instead of taking his bunkbed down entirely though, we opted to keep it up for sleepovers.
Grant got a cool new worktable, a rolling chair and a bookcase to display his many treasures (that are usually spread all over his desk).
Charlie and Pierce's Room.
They needed a smaller version of a bunk bed (since they are still really young) and Ikea had a storage system that matched up perfectly to form stairs instead of a tricky ladder. Yay!
